I travel because it makes me realise how much I haven't seen, How much I am going to see and how much I still need to see. -Carew papritz
Dubai was definitely on my bucket list of places I want to visit. Dubai is known for being the city for luxurious shopping, pristine beaches, ultramodern breath-taking architecture and nightlife. To make this trip even more exciting, it was planned to celebrate my twenty-eight birthday, a birthday I will never forget.
It was a short trip, so we used our limited time to see and experience most of what Dubai has to offer. First thing we did immediately after landing was hit the beach and enjoyed Dubai’s hot climate weather. At the beach, we sunbath and did some water sports. After which, we started working through our itinerary.
Places We Visited
On our list was visiting the famous BurjKhalifa; the 830m world’s tallest building that dominates most of Dubai’s skyline. We also wanted to experience shopping at the Dubai mall, known for being the twenty sixth largest mall in the world.
Before travelling my sister booked a guided tour to some of the city’s key destinations, packaged with a day trip to Abu Dhabi where we visited the impressive Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World and Heritage Village. There we learnt about the rich history of the UAE post, and its infrastructural development and expansion. And of course, we also got to experience Emirati cuisine, along with their popular tea and coffee beverages.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, Dubai is definitely one of those cities that never siege to amaze, you’ll never run out of things to see and do. Dubai is still on my bucket list because I will love to re-visit to do all the things we didn’t have time for.
