My Ethic Toward Make-up
Applying Glittery Make-Up For A Day To Night Look.
I don’t often experiment with make-up because by preference, I like my everyday make-up look. However, on special occasions I do sometimes come out of my comfort zone and play around with different looks.
A little disclaimer! I am not a make-up guru. I don’t know everything there is to know about make-up. But, what I do know is how I like to look, and that is to always look like MYSELF. For me, make-up is a tool that should be used to enhance our God given features not change them.
With that said, here is how I achieved and applied this glittery make-up for a day to night look.
My Inspiration
I was inspired to create this look by the Lancome L’absolu Rouge Drama Matte lipstick. It’s such a gorgeous lip colour. It has a powdery matte feel on the lips, that feels so comfortable. One look at this lipstick, I knew I had to try it.
Eye Shadow Palette
Along with the lipstick, I used the Estee Edit Palette by Estee Lauder to build the look, and create a glittery make-up look that can be worn from day to night. I love the colours on this Palette, they are dark, subtle glittery tones.
The idea of combining the Lancome lipstick and Estee Lauder eyeshadow pallet got me excited to try something new. This glittery make-up look can be applied and worn from day to night.
Top Tip
A key tip when attempting to create this look or any other make-up look, always make sure you blend the make-up into the skin. DO NOT create layers to sit on the skin, but blend each colour using the right brush or the warmth of your fingers to achieve maximum result.
REMEMBER! less is more.
The colours in this palette are highly pigmented so use caution.
