Linen Is The Perfect Summer Fabric
Let’s talk about all things linen!
For me, linen is definitely the fabric for summer, IT’S A MUST HAVE. There is no other fabric I would rather live in, walk in and be in during hot summer days.
Linen is a durable natural fibre taken from flax plant. In comparison to other fabrics, linen is heavier than most other counterpart fabrics, also, it’s approximately 30% stronger. Linen often feels more crisp initially, however over time and use, the fabrics will become soft and supple to the touch.
Summer Wardrobe
Over the years, through trial or error, I have come to learn the importance of curating the perfect summer wardrobe. Having pieces I not only look good in BUT feel good in. Linen is a feel-good fabric.
Curating a summer wardrobe with pieces that are made from 100% linen is something I’ve been doing for a while now. The fabric is breathable and it’s naturally moisture wicking, meaning it helps keep you dry and cool in a hot climate.

There are so many luxury brands and high street brands that retail good linen pieces.
My go to store to shop for all things linen is mango. I adore their limited linen pieces, they have a range of tailored pieces, linen shorts, beautiful simple easy linen dresses and accessories, all made from linen. Also, their pieces are affordable.
The white dress is an old committed piece. It has a straight midi design, an open v-neck with thin straps.
The Blue dress is from Civico 51. A brand I recently come across. They are an Italian brand, known for retailing high-quality fashion and irresistible designs. This blue dress is my first purchase from the brand. I have to say I am definitely impress by the quality of their pieces. They are rich in texture and made to fit the modern woman.
The trouser and waistcoat are both from mango, made with 40% linen. The trouser are midi length, perfect for summer. The waistcoat comes in a medium design with a V-neck. It also has Inner lining.
These drawstring linen trousers are great for summer. They are easy to style, they have a standard design, with Inner lining. Also, they come in a range of colours.
